Our philosophy

Exceptional occasional care, always.

We’re passionate about providing your little ones with a safe, caring and stimulating environment where they can participate in a range of experiences, designed to help them explore their world and grow in all areas of their development. We aim to promote skills and attitudes that will help children learn, and keep learning.

Our staff plan and implement programs based on individual and group interests, as well as abilities. We continually evaluate and modify these programs based on the needs and interests of the wonderful children that attend Playstation.

We encourage children, parents and teachers to recognise, respect and support each other with the common objective of creating happy, secure and caring relationships. We believe the kind of care we endeavor to provide is best achieved through a team approach between staff, families, the Committee of Management and the Department of Human Services.

Behaviour management

At Playstation, we treat children in a trusting, sensitive and respectful manner, and always with care and affection. Positive guidance of infants and toddlers lets the child know what behaviour is acceptable. Acceptable behaviour is encouraged so that undesirable behaviour is not perceived as a way to be noticed. Our staff respond gently but firmly to repeated undesirable actions without giving unnecessary attention.

Policies

Policies have been developed and implemented to maintain the health and safety of all children who attend Playstation. A detailed copy of our policies is available for you to read, simply ask one of our friendly staff.
