Our Staff

Playstation is very fortunate to have such experienced staff that create a warm, safe and fun environment for the children who attend the centre. Scroll down to read more about our wonderful staff.

We are very lucky to have Kelly as our newly appointed Eduational Leader at Playstation. She has been working at Playstation for over 13 years. Kelly has a Diploma in Early Childhood and Education and has over 30 years experience in Early Childhood, having worked in both sessional kindergarten programs and occasional care settings. She has three beautiful adult daughters and in her spare time she loves playing with her granddaughter, playing netball and drinking wine. Kelly believes that Playstation is a unique centre known in the local community for its warm, friendly and nurturing environment.

Di (or Dysy to us) is our longest serving staff member at Playstation, having worked here for over 22 years. She has a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Services, and believes that Playstation’s longevity is largely due to the warmth and experience of the educators. Di has three beautiful adult children, two grandchildren and another grandchild due in May 2021. In her spare time, she loves playing with her granddaughters, spending time with family and eating chocolate… daily!

Jacqui has been working at Playstation for over 6 years. Her youngest daughter first attended the centre in 2010. Jacqui has a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, and believes that Playstation’s success is due to staff treating one another like family. The warm work environment makes her job of looking after the children a privilege. Jacqui has three beautiful children, two of whom are at university, and her youngest being in Year 8 this year. In her spare time Jacqui loves to walk, cook and read. She says the best part of working at Playstation is the cuddles you receive from the children.

Momo has been working at Playstation since the beginning of 2020. She is studying towards a Masters in Teaching of Primary and Early Childhood Education. In her spare time Momo loves reading fantasy novels, singing, and going on bushwalking hikes searching for Australian wildlife. Momo believes that the most beautiful moments at Playstation are those when you see the children smiling and laughing during their play.

Laura has been working at Playstation for three years. She is our “creative brains trust,” designing and creating the most beautiful and inviting play spaces for children. Laura has completed a Bachelor of Arts and is currently studying a Bachelor of Education (Primary and Early Childhood). In her spare time Laura loves to watch movies, eat lots and lots of pasta, and complete puzzles. Laura says the best part of working at Playstation is the sense of community.

Kerri is in her fourth year working at Playstation, but her youngest son first attended the centre 15 years ago! She has a Diploma in Primary Teaching and a Certificate in Education Support. Kerri has four beautiful children and in her spare time she loves playing tennis (in the same team as her dad!), doing yoga, and watching her children play sport. Kerri says nothing warms your heart like hearing a child call your name because they want you to play catch or build a tower with them. She believes that Playstation’s success is due to the staff being valued by their peers and the extended Playstation community.

Katrina is our second longest serving staff member at Playstation. She has been working here for 22 years – a truly unbelievable milestone! She has a Bachelor in Primary Teaching and three beautiful adult children. Her two sons attended the centre 24 years ago! In her spare time Katrina loves cooking and is always reading recipe books. She is frequently cooking meals for her children and her partners’ sons. Katrina believes that she is so fortunate to work in the Playstation environment, amongst gorgeous children and fantastic staff.

Susie has a long association with Playstation, where both of her children attended in the nursery and kinder rooms. She fondly recalls these times as instrumental in the foundation of her children’s learning, and love of play. She joined the team of educators working across both rooms between 2013 and 2015, and has re-joined as a staff member in 2022. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design, a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, and a Certificate III in Children’s Services. Susie values the individual connections and relationships she develops with each child and family, ensuring that everyone feels valued, included and secure.

Susan has been working at Playstation for one year.  She’s a local whose own four children attended our centre. They are all growing up now, her daughter is a professional ballerina, and her sons are at uni and high school. Susan has worked in nursing, was a flight attendant and trainer in the airline industry and later relished being a full time mum. Returning to work, she decided to follow her heart, thus completed Cert 3 in early child education & care and is now actively studying a Diploma in ECEC. Susan is delighted to work at Playstation where there is such support and care for the children and families from a great team of staff.
