The Nursery is a busy and noisy place in the first term of Playstation. We are getting many new faces and families and they are getting to know us! Welcome back to our “old” members. All is going well and the children are becoming more settled and familiar with their new surroundings. We are looking forward to the next few weeks when the painting, stamping and pasting commence. Happy days!
Even though we are still settling in to routines in the preschool room we are having heaps of fun catching up with our familiar little faces and getting to know our new little buddies. Some of our art and craft activities have revolved around the theme “under the sea” and we have seen many magnificent pieces of artwork going home to “the good room”! Don’t forget to check the drying rack when you pick up your little Rembrandts from Playstation as there are often some gorgeous prices of art left behind. We only keep art pieces for picking up the following week if requested to do so.
From the President
Playstation really is Canterbury’s best kept secret!
The Playstation team lead by Annie Fly are an amazing group that love their work and deliver exceptional care for your children.
My name is Jeff Azzopardi and I am the 2013 Playstation committee President. I have held the Treasurer’s role for the previous 2 years. All my three sons have enjoyed the Playstation experience over the past few years and I am proud to be part of the Playstation team. The committee is committed to continual improvement at a care, facilities and making it easier for families perspective. In the recent past, the committee has delivered improvements including amending the afternoon session times making it more convenient for afternoon sleeps and school pick-ups, introducing a small fundraising levy to replace the burden of selling chocolates to friends and family, the building of the ramp and the convenient new entrance to the centre and restructuring our banking arrangements to secure a positive financial position in the future. The focus for this year is to improve our web site making it more interactive and also change the registration and fee payment system to become more efficient for both you and Sally, our membership officer.
I’m looking forward to the year ahead and working with the Playstation staff and committee to strengthen our position as Canterbury’s best kept secret.
